Maryland Attorney, J. Matthew Bodman
Education
Matthew Bodman earned his bachelor's
degree in economics from the University of Maryland, College Park.
He received his law degree from the University of Baltimore, School
of Law where he concentrated on business law and intellectual property
law courses.
Professional Activities
Admitted to practice in Maryland,
Matthew is a member of the the American Bar Association (Business
Law & Antitrust Law Sections), Maryland State Bar Association
(Young Lawyer, Solo and Small Practice, and Business Law Sections),
Bar Association of Baltimore City and the Anne Arundel County Bar
Association.
As a former insurance defense attorney,
Matthew gained experience in the field of personal injury by defending
auto accident
and premises liability claims in and out of Maryland
Courts for insurance companies such as Cincinnati Insurance,
Lincoln General Insurance, Penn National Insurance, Erie Insurance,
Electric Insurance and Allstate. As a attorney representing Maryland
plaintiffs, Mr. Bodman has worked against GEICO, State Farm, Progressive,
Allstate, MAIF, and Nationwide, to name a few. Mr. Bodman's clients
come from a range of industries seeking our assistance in any of
a number of legal practice areas including general liability litigation,
including construction litigation, premises liability, auto
torts, business law,
mediation and products liability
cases.
Prior to graduation from law school,
Matthew spent six years serving in the U.S. Navy and then 3 years
working for the Department of Veterans Affairs. Matthew enjoys discussing
leadership,
playing chess, studying German, and watching sports.
Matthew lives in Crofton, Maryland with his wife and three children.
