Attorney Alexandra C. Markel Joins Bodman
Bodman PLC is pleased to announce that Alexandra C. Markel has joined the firm as an associate attorney and a member of the Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution Practice Group.
She will practice in Bodman’s Detroit office, representing clients involved in complex commercial litigation matters.
Before joining Bodman as an associate, Markel worked with the firm as a summer associate. In that role, she gained valuable exposure to the firm’s broad range of clients and legal matters. She has also served as a judicial intern to the Hon. Robert Cleland of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. Before beginning her legal career, Markel worked in Washington DC as a government relations analyst for a Houston-based LNG export company.
At the University of Michigan Law School, Markel was active in the law student community. She was associate editor of the Michigan Journal of Gender and Law and participated in moot court and other oral advocacy competitions. She was a quarterfinalist in the University of Michigan’s competition and won the competition held by the State Bar of Michigan. She was also a member and communications chair of Law Students for Reproductive Justice.
