Scott Carter focuses his practice primarily on general corporate law and business transactional work, which often crosses over into mergers and acquisitions, tax, and related matters.
His clients include established businesses in the automotive, healthcare, and other sectors as well as many emerging businesses and the high net worth individuals and venture capital firms that invest in them.
He also has experience drafting complex information technology contracts for corporate clients.
As a law student, Scott served as a Judicial Intern to the Honorable Sean F. Cox of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. He was an assistant editor of The Wayne Law Review, earning the Superior Assistant Editor Award.
Scott chaired the 2020-21 Wayne Law Transactional Law Competition and was a member of teams that won first place awards in the 2019 Wayne Law Transactional Law Competition and the 2020 Jaffe Regional Transactional Law Invitational.
