Two Bodman Attorneys Appointed to INTA Committees

By: Bodman PLC

01/06/20

Bodman is pleased to announce that two of its attorneys, Kelley N. Goldberg and Moriam M. Aigoro, have been appointed to committee positions with the International Trademark Association (INTA), the leading global association of brand owners and professionals dedicated to supporting trademarks and related intellectual property.

Goldberg, of Bodman’s Grand Rapids office, has been appointed to a two-year term on INTA’s Non-Traditional Marks Committee. The Non-Traditional Marks Committee advocates INTA policy regarding the balanced protection of nontraditional trademarks, monitors and analyzes legal developments in various jurisdictions, and makes policy recommendations to the board of directors.

Aigoro, of Bodman’s Ann Arbor office, has been appointed to a two-year term on the Young Practitioners Committee. The Young Practitioners Committee develops and implements services and programs specifically designed for professionals who are early in their careers. The Committee’s activities include development and review of course materials, identification of speakers and moderators, and the planning of various events and award programs.

Goldberg and Aigoro are members of Bodman’s Intellectual Property Practice Group, which assists clients in national and international protection, licensing, and litigation of trademark, copyright, trade secret, right of publicity, and patent matters. The firm has received the highest possible “Highly Recommended” rating in Trademark Law from the internationally-recognized journal Managing Intellectual Property based on independent research including interviews with firm clients and peers.
