Overview

Kelsey Lutz is a member of Bodman’s Business Practice Group. She represents a variety of corporate clients in connection with the structuring and negotiation of complex transactions and on general organizational and business matters.

Before joining Bodman as an associate attorney, she participated in the firm’s summer associate program, gaining broad exposure to a variety of clients and areas of practice.

As a law student at the University of Minnesota Law School, Ms. Lutz served as Managing Editor of the Minnesota Law Review. She was selected as a student instructor for the law school’s first-year legal writing program and served as a student attorney with the Federal Immigration Law Clinic. She received several academic awards including the 1L Legal Writing Best Brief Award and the Book Award for professional responsibility. She earned honors for Legal Research & Writing and Law in Practice and appeared annually on the Dean’s List throughout her law school career.

During law school, she worked as a law clerk with a law firm in Minneapolis where she provided support in employment and consumer class action cases. Before attending law school, Ms. Lutz worked as a senior paralegal and project manager for a Chicago law firm where she provided extensive litigation support and assisted in court on several federal jury trials. In this role, she also worked on several cases with The Exoneration Project, where she conducted extensive research and assisted in the defense of wrongly convicted clients.  As an undergraduate she participated in an independent research seminar at The Newberry Library in Chicago and interned with the Library’s Special Collections Department.
