By: Bodman PLC

06/27/16

Bodman PLC is pleased to announce that two new attorneys, formerly summer associates, have joined the firm: Alexandra E. Dieck and Kenneth R. Powell.

Powell is an associate in the Business Practice Group, practicing in the firm’s Ann Arbor office. He represents business clients involved in a variety of general corporate matters, including business entity formation, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial transactions. While in law school at the University of Michigan, Powell was an associate editor of the Michigan Law Review and a student attorney with the Michigan Unemployment Insurance Project. He served on the board of two different student organizations: Outlaws, the LGBT organization at the University’s Law School, and the Michigan Immigration and Labor Law Association. Before beginning his law career, Powell worked as a research analyst involved in tracking legal, business, and financial trends in the health care and automotive industries.

Dieck, also of the firm’s Ann Arbor office, is an associate in the Real Estate Practice Group. She represents a variety of clients in connection with commercial real estate transactions, including land acquisition, land development and leasing, and general real property management. While in law school, Dieck was an associate editor of the Michigan Journal of Gender and Law. She worked as a student attorney in the University of Michigan Civil and Criminal Litigation Clinic and served as president of the Women Law Students Association. Prior to that, she worked as a law clerk in the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Arizona, Civil Division.
