Carrie Leahy Elected to Inforum Board of Directors

Bodman is pleased to announce that Carrie Leahy, chair of the firm’s Executive Committee and a senior member of the Business Practice Group, has been elected to a three-year term on the board of directors of Inforum.
Detroit-based Inforum, founded in 1962 as the Women’s Economic Club, was a pioneer in supporting the advancement of women in business. Inforum combines strategic connections, proven professional development programs, a respected forum for new ideas, and original research to accelerate careers for women and boost talent initiatives for companies.
As chair of Bodman, Leahy leads the Executive Committee, which guides the firm’s strategic initiatives and day to day business affairs. She has had numerous leadership roles within the firm, including service on the Finance Committee and as managing partner of the Ann Arbor office.
Leahy concentrates her legal practice in corporate and business law. She counsels both established and emerging businesses on general corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, compliance with securities regulations, and issues involving venture capital funding. She has been recognized by many of the leading journals that evaluate business attorneys, including Chambers USA, IFLR1000, and Michigan Super Lawyers, as one of Michigan’s most respected corporate and M&A practitioners. In 2019, DBusiness named her one of the top 500 business leaders in Southeast Michigan.
Leahy is also a board member and treasurer for the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti SmartZone Local Development Finance Authority and serves on the United Way of Washtenaw County Campaign Cabinet. She is a member of the State Bar of Michigan Business Law Section Council.
