The prestigious journal Chambers High Net Worth (HNW), which evaluates legal and financial advisors worldwide, has ranked Bodman PLC as one of Michigan’s top law firms for services to high net worth individuals and families and their closely held businesses.
In the newly released 2017 edition of Chambers HNW, Bodman is the only firm based in southeast Michigan – and one of only four law firms in the state – to be listed. The publisher conducts extensive research, including interviews with law firm clients, peers and other professionals who serve high net worth clients, in order to compile its rankings. In announcing its results, the editor quoted a client who described Bodman attorneys as “meticulous in their planning, and very knowledgeable about regulations. They’re just all-around excellent.”
The publisher of Chambers HNW also recognized Bodman Members David P. Larsen and Marguerite Munson Lentz as two of Michigan’s most highly rated lawyers for high net worth clients. Lentz, who was recently named chair elect of the State Bar of Michigan’s Probate and Estate Planning Section, was described by peers as a “a leader in Michigan in estate planning” who “understands the nuances of the laws, which enables her to figure out good solutions for her clients.” Larsen, the senior member and former chair of Bodman’s High Net Worth Group, was described by a client as “a person that’s totally dependable, very intelligent, and is always current with the issues of wealth management. He is very capable of distilling complex concepts down to a very simple format.”
The attorneys in Bodman’s High Net Worth Group provide comprehensive legal services to affluent individuals and families. The firm’s clients include some of Michigan’s most well-known families, as well as business owners, executives, athletes, and other professionals seeking to minimize the tax burden on their heirs, make significant charitable donations, or complete complex personal transactions.
