David B. Ederer and Zachary J. Bialick Join Bodman PLC

By: Bodman PLC

10/10/25

Bodman PLC is pleased to announce the addition of two attorneys to the firm: David B. Ederer returns as a member in the Real Estate Practice Group and Zachary J. Bialick joins as a senior attorney in the High Net Worth Practice Group.

Based in the Grand Rapids office, Ederer has over 25 years of experience in commercial real estate law, with a particular focus on the negotiation of leases with national and regional retailers. He has represented both landlords and tenants. His landlord clients have included a national real estate management firm that is listed on the New York Stock Exchange and many local and regional developers. His work on behalf of tenants has included negotiating leases and other agreements for some of the nation’s largest retail and restaurant chains with the Mall of America, Disney World, Aventura Mall in Miami, and other major landlords.

Ederer practiced previously with Bodman from 2019 to 2022 before rejoining the real estate group at a prominent Florida-based law firm. In that role, he regularly represented both landlords and tenants in the structuring of complex and sophisticated leasing transactions of all sizes.

Ederer is a graduate of Emory University School of Law and received his undergraduate degree from Western Michigan University.

Based in the Detroit office, Bialick helps individuals, families, and their closely-held businesses successfully resolve any legal issues they face and develops effective estate and business plans designed to meet his clients’ goals and safeguard their legacy. He has extensive experience counseling clients in estate, income, and gift tax planning matters and has developed revocable living, charitable, special needs, and irrevocable trusts and other estate planning instruments.

Before joining Bodman, Bialick was a partner at a Michigan-based estate planning law firm where he managed the firm’s main office. He has been recognized in Michigan Rising Stars since 2020 under Estate Planning & Probate.

Bialick is a graduate of University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and received his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University.
