David W. Barton Named Co-Chair of State Bar of Michigan Business Law Section’s Financial Institutions Committee
Bodman PLC is pleased to announce that David W. Barton, a member of the firm’s Banking and Business practice groups, has been named co-chair of the State Bar of Michigan Business Law Section’s Financial Institutions Committee.
He will serve with fellow Co-Chair DJ Culkar, Senior Vice President and General Counsel – Wealth Management, Retail Bank, Operations and Regulatory Affairs for Comerica Incorporated.
Barton, who practices in Bodman’s Northern Michigan office in Cheboygan, represents financial institutions in corporate law and governance, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory affairs, and general banking law matters. He serves as corporate counsel to many community banks throughout the state of Michigan.
Barton is listed in Michigan Super Lawyers under Banking and is AV® Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell. Traverse magazine named him to its “A-List” of leading Northern Michigan lawyers.
