Experienced Tax Attorney Paul V. McCord Joins Bodman PLC’s Grand Rapids Office

Bodman PLC is pleased to announce that Paul V. McCord has joined the firm as a member in the Business Tax Practice Group.
Based in the firm’s Grand Rapids office, McCord has over 30 years of tax litigation experience focusing on federal, state and local tax controversies and litigation, corporate counseling, and probate administration.
McCord has represented clients before the IRS, Michigan Department of Treasury, other state revenue departments and local units of government. He has appeared for clients in the United States Tax Court, Michigan Court of Claims, Michigan Tax Tribunal, Michigan Court of Appeals and the Michigan Supreme Court.
Prior to joining Bodman, McCord was a shareholder and practice group leader for another Michigan-based business law firm. He also previously served as a judge of the Michigan Tax Tribunal.
McCord is a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Law and received an undergraduate degree from Marquette University. He also received an LL.M. in Taxation from the Georgetown University Law Center.
Before attending law school, McCord served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy during the First Gulf War.
