Kathleen O’Callaghan Hickey Named to Michigan Roundtable for Diversity and Inclusion Board of Directors
Bodman PLC is pleased to announce that Kathleen O’Callaghan Hickey has been named to the Board of Directors of the Michigan Roundtable for Diversity and Inclusion, one of Detroit’s oldest human rights organizations.
The Michigan Roundtable for Diversity and Inclusion has worked to overcome racial and cultural boundaries in Detroit since 1941. The organization brings together community leaders from government, law enforcement, education, faith, grass roots organizations and business to understand different points of view and then take action to overcome structural impediments to inclusion and equity.
Bodman is a longtime supporter of the Michigan Roundtable. The Firm is a founding member of the Michigan Roundtable Law Honor Roll, an initiative that supports law firms’ efforts to recruit and retain diverse workforces, and Robert J. Diehl, Jr., Chair of Bodman’s Banking Practice Group, is the Immediate Past Chair of the Michigan Roundtable’s Board of Directors.
Hickey is a senior member of Bodman’s Banking Practice Group. She serves on the firm’s Office of the Executive and Executive Committee, which manage the firm’s day-to-day business affairs, and is co-chair on Bodman’s Diversity and Inclusion and Social Action Committee. Her legal practice encompasses secured transactions, loan workouts, and counseling lenders on lender liability and loan structure issues.
Hickey is listed in The Best Lawyers in America 2017 under Banking and Finance Law, Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business 2017 under Banking & Finance, Michigan Super Lawyers 2007 under The Top 50 Women, and Michigan Super Lawyers 2007-2017 under Banking.
