Rebecca C. Seguin-Skrabucha Joins Board of Directors of Society of Human Resource Management, OakMac Chapter

Bodman PLC is pleased to announce that Rebecca C. Seguin-Skrabucha has joined the Board of Directors of the Society of Human Resource Management of Oakland and Macomb counties (OakMac SHRM) as legislative director.
SHRM is the world’s largest HR professional society, representing nearly 340,000 members in more than 180 countries. It offers members on-demand HR advice, templates and toolkits, research and benchmarking data, and networking and educational events. SHRM also engages in public policy advocacy at the federal, state, and local levels on workforce policy issues. As Legislative Director, Rebecca will help keep members informed on the latest employment legislation, regulatory updates, and public policy developments impacting the workplace.
Seguin-Skrabucha is vice chair of Bodman’s Workplace Law Practice Group, where she advises employers, including municipal governments and businesses of all sizes, on compliance with state and federal employment and labor laws. Her practice includes helping employers establish best practices across all stages of employment, conducting workplace investigations and management training, and defending employers against claims in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies.
A frequent author and presenter on labor and employment law topics, Seguin-Skrabucha has been recognized by several organizations and publications for the quality of her work and her client service skills. She has been named a “Go-To Lawyer” for employment law by Michigan Lawyers Weekly, “One to Watch” by The Best Lawyers in America, a “Top Lawyer” by DBusiness Magazine, and a “Rising Star” by Michigan Super Lawyers.
