  • Sinéad Redmond Helps her Client Reclaim his Family Home

Pro Bono client Mr. F purchased his family home in Detroit. the property has been in the family for decades, with his father growing up in it. After purchasing the property from a family member, Mr. F found that the prior taxes had not been paid off entirely. Without his knowledge, the city placed the matter into tax foreclosure and sold the property to a new purchaser. Working with Mr. F, Sinéad filed a quiet title action and negotiated with the property management company who purchased the property at the foreclosure auction to reach a resolution where Mr. F now holds the deed to the property and has been consistently paying off the taxes for the property.
