Sinéad Redmond is a member of the Bodman’s Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution Practice Group. She represents business, municipal, and individual clients in connection with complex commercial litigation matters.
Before joining Bodman as an associate attorney, she participated in the firm’s summer associate program, gaining broad exposure to a variety of clients and areas of practice. She also has prior experience as a litigation paralegal with the Planned Parenthood Federation of America where she tracked state-level legislative developments and assisted with the preparation of briefs and motions filed with state and federal courts.
As a law student, Sinéad earned several academic honors, including the Craig Spangenberg Oral Advocacy Award and the Equal Justice America Fellowship. She served as a Judicial Intern to the Hon. Judith E. Levy of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and as a Law Clerk and Project Coordinator with the Michigan Poverty Law Program’s Family Law Project. She also served as Co-Chair of the Gender Violence Project, as Co-Chair of Reproductive Rights and Justice, and as a volunteer Student Attorney with the Federal Appellate Litigation Clinic.
Sinéad holds a Ph.D. in Political Science and Public Policy from the University of Michigan. Her research interests include judicial politics and state legislative processes. As a graduate student she served as Co-President of the Graduate Association of Political Scientists and as Co-Chair of the Women’s Caucus.

Sinéad Redmond Helps Client End Abusive Marriage
Sinéad finalized a divorce for Ms. A., a pro bono client who was previously in a long-term marriage to a controlling and abusive husband. While in the relationship, Ms. A. was not allowed to work or receive an education. With Sinéad’s counsel, the court granted Ms. A. a divorce as well as spousal support, which she plans to use to help raise their two children who have special needs. Ms. A. now has the freedom to stand on her own and recently applied to professional programs in the hope of becoming a dental hygienist.

Sinéad Redmond Helps her Client Reclaim his Family Home
Pro Bono client Mr. F purchased his family home in Detroit. the property has been in the family for decades, with his father growing up in it. After purchasing the property from a family member, Mr. F found that the prior taxes had not been paid off entirely. Without his knowledge, the city placed the matter into tax foreclosure and sold the property to a new purchaser. Working with Mr. F, Sinéad filed a quiet title action and negotiated with the property management company who purchased the property at the foreclosure auction to reach a resolution where Mr. F now holds the deed to the property and has been consistently paying off the taxes for the property.
