Overview

Aya Beydoun is a member in Bodman’s Enterprise Procurement Group. She represents business clients in connection with a variety of commercial transactions, including the drafting and negotiation of vendor contracts for a broad range of goods and services.

Throughout law school, Aya served as a law clerk for a Michigan-based immigration law firm assisting in preparing immigration visa petitions. Her responsibilities consisted of preparing immigrant and nonimmigrant employment visa petitions for a diverse clientele consisting of automotive suppliers, pharmacies, consulting firms and staffing agencies. Additionally, she assisted with the filings of family immigration petitions, waivers of inadmissibility, as well as drafting briefs, motions, and appeals submitted to the Executive Office for Immigration Review.

As a law student, Aya won multiple book awards, was recognized on the Dean’s list, served as a Moot Court member, and was featured in the Detroit Legal News. She contributed as a research assistant for Professor Erin R. Archerd’s distinguished University of the Pacific Law Review article titled “Two Hearts and Brewer/Distributor Conflicts,” where she conducted meticulous research on beer distribution laws and reviewed agreements between manufacturers, wholesale distributors, and retailers.

Aya also served as a law clerk for Lakeshore Legal Aid where she counseled Violence Against Woman Act (VAWA) clients and drafted estate planning documents, including wills and powers of attorney.

As an undergraduate, Aya interned with Honorable Darlene O’Brien of the Washtenaw County Circuit Court.
