His M&A experience includes providing buy-side tax due diligence; buy-side transactional tax structuring; reviewing purchase agreements and related transactional documents; drafting due diligence reports for use in obtaining representation and warranty insurance; cash-tax modeling of acquisitions; advising on internal corporate restructurings in preparation for mergers and acquisitions; fund formation structuring; tax opinion drafting identifying the transaction steps and the anticipated federal tax outcomes for each step; deal model review; sell-side transactional structuring; sell-side internal structuring; and legal entity rationalization.

Before joining Bodman he practiced as a Senior Associate in the Chicago office of a global accounting firm where he represented large corporate clients and private equity firms as a transactional tax advisor.
