Peter A. Cummings Named Chair of AIPLA IP Transactions Committee

Bodman PLC is pleased to announce that Peter A. Cummings of the firm’s Grand Rapids office has been named chair of the American Intellectual Property Law Association’s IP Transactions Committee for 2022-24.
Cummings founded and leads Bodman’s Patent Practice Group. He has more than a decade of experience helping clients protect new technologies and products in global markets and developing intellectual property strategies that meet his clients’ business objectives.
The American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) is a national organization that supports IP professionals and advances an effective and balanced intellectual property system through advocacy, education, training, and community outreach. The IP Transactions Committee considers the laws, regulations, and judicial decisions which affect the ownership, transfer and sharing of IP rights and technology and develops and shares information on best practices for IP portfolio management and optimization.
