Pro Bono Spotlight: Sinéad Redmond Helps her Client Reclaim his Family Home

Congratulations to Bodman attorney Sinéad Redmond and her client, Mr. F, on successfully reclaiming his family home.
The Detroit home had been a part of Mr. F’s family for decades, with his father growing up in it. After purchasing the property from a family member, Mr. F found that the prior taxes had not been paid off entirely. Without his knowledge, the city placed the matter into tax foreclosure and sold the property to a new purchaser. Working with Mr. F, Sinéad filed a quiet title action and negotiated with the property management company who purchased the property at the foreclosure auction to reach a resolution where Mr. F now holds the deed to the property and has been consistently paying off the taxes for the property.
