Mackenzie Bailey represents business clients in connection with a variety of commercial transactions, including the drafting and negotiation of vendor contracts for a broad range of goods and services.
Before joining Bodman as an associate attorney, Mackenzie participated in the Firm’s summer associate program, gaining experience with a broad range of clients and practice areas. She previously served as a law clerk for the Office of the Governor for the State of Michigan, where she provided analysis and advice on all legal and policy matters that involved the Governor. She was also a law clerk for the Hon. F. Kay Behm of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
As a law student, Mackenzie was a member of the Black Law Student Association, a Senior Associate Editor for the International Law Review, and the 3L representative for the Themis Bar Review. She also served as a student clinician at the Great Lakes First Amendment Clinic, where she developed engaging instructional lessons on First Amendment law to high school students and co-coordinated 24 student volunteers to teach Fourth and Fifth Amendment rights to 700-900 students at MSU Law’s Street Law Day, both at Cass Technical High School.
