Ms. DeFrain concentrates her practice in the areas of estate planning, estate and gift taxation, and probate administration. She is an adviser to individuals and families on a variety of personal and related tax matters.
In addition, Ms. DeFrain has experience in the tax exempt area, including qualified retirement plans under ERISA, private foundations and public charities.
Ms. DeFrain served on the Executive Board of Trustees for On My Own of Michigan, a private, nonprofit organization that helps adults with mild developmental disabilities become independent, social, and contributing members of the community. She has also served on the Executive Board of Directors of the Friends of the Johnson Nature Center in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, for many years.
